"House of Cards" has travelled a very long time in the streaming industry. Since 2013, the show has garnered not just magnificent public reception but awards as well. With lots of accolades they won, namely Golden Globe Awards and the Primetime Emmy Awards, no doubt that it should be called as one of the best production pieces in the present time.

And now, after its season 4's successful airing through Netflix, news began spreading about a possible fifth episode of the show. What could be President Frank Underwood's next set of challenges to overcome as the story will continue to show his incumbency in office?

It was reported that Netflix had announced that it would be released January next year. That would only mean days of sleep until finally arriving at the airing date. According to Express, the story will talk about President Underwood's decision of declaring a state of emergency, more of like declaring an all-out war against the terrorist forces, particularly the Islamic Caliphate Organization, and more riveting political stories for this season.

However, bad news has just spread over the internet and broadcast by the media as well these days. "House of Cards" in its fifth season will be canceled. The news shocked the show's fans. The questions now are: What could be the possible reasons of the rumored cancelation? Is that already confirmed? If it is, then why? Travelers Today had details for that.

In the article the site had published, the possible cancellation for the airing was of Beau Willimon's exit of the series, who was believed to be one of the pillars of the show and the reason of the success it earned. Until now, there is no valid confirmation yet as to what reason Williman left the show. But one thing is for sure, he is known almost by the show's fans as a staunch critic of President-elect  Donald Trump.

At iTech Post's particular article, it is said that Willimon publicly expressed his opposition to Trump's winning through his Twitter account and even urged the netizens not to support their incoming US President. Such would really give an implication that Willimon left the show as a showrunner because of his personal and political beliefs.

Surely, Willimon's exit from the production team had earned mixed reactions from the viewers and other people. If it is really true that because of that the show's release will be canceled, then the fans would have to wait patiently for the production team's decision about it.
