Augmented reality gaming has reached new heights upon the launch of the uber-popular "Pokemon Go" in mid-2016. But, the interest for the worldwide phenomenon that caused quite a buzz in the previous months and turned into one of the biggest fad recently across people from all walks of life has slowly fizzled out. And, it seems like the game developer is trying new ways to lure the fans and "catch 'em all" back again.

New Creatures Have Been Introduced Including A Special Edition Pikachu

The fans can now have the latest set of second-generation baby Pokemons from Gold and Silver, including Pichu, Togepi, Magby, Igglybuff, Cleffa, Smoochum, and Elekid. And, "Pokemon Go" developer Niantic assured the fans that these batch of Pokemons won't be the last to come out soon.

"Trainers will have the opportunity to hatch these and several other Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto Region in Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games," the game developer posted on their site. "These are the first of more Pokémon coming to 'Pokémon GO' over the next few months."

And, in line with the celebration of the holiday season, gamers will also get the chance to catch the limited edition Pikachu, one of the franchise's most popular characters, sporting a festive Christmas-themed hat. This special edition Pikachu is now available on "Pokemon Go" and is only here to stay until Dec. 29, 2016, at 10 am PST.

How To Catch The New Baby Pokemons

The gamers can snag eggs in PokeStops and try to hatch them in the incubators. The pair of Igglybuff and Cleffa hatch from 2 kilometer eggs, while Pichu and Togepi can be produced from 5 kilometer eggs. Magby, Elekid and Smoochum , on the other hand, comes from 10 kilometer eggs, wrote Kotaku.

Just head to the "Pokémon" tab in your device and click on the "Eggs" tab located at the top right. Choose the egg you want for incubation and walk the number of kilometers specified for each egg.
