"One Punch Man" Season 2 has been confirmed to air in 2017 though the exact release date is yet to be announced. Additionally, the animated series creator has not teased the possible plot point of the upcoming season. However, if Season 2 of "One Punch Man" will not veer away from its manga counterpart storyline, then the upcoming episodes might take the eighth volume of the manga beginning with Chapter 37 entitled "King."

Chapter 37 of "One Punch Man" has an interesting revelation about the S-Class Rank 7 professional hero for the Hero Association, King. He is known to be "the strongest man on Earth" and defeated Tongue Stretcher. But in reality, King is a coward who enjoys playing games more than anything.

On Chapter 37 of the manga series, Saitama followed King after he escaped a confrontation with a robotic enemy called G4. G4 asked King for a fight and if he won't show up, G4 warned that he will kill people until he appears. However, King just apologized to the citizens and ran home.

Saitama found the S-Class hero preparing his games at home so Saitama asked why he chose to run away while Genos is out there, fighting G4 and took his place. At first, King didn't intend to tell Saitama the truth until the Giant Crow attacked the building where King lives. Just before Saitama defeated the Giant Crow, King admitted that he is not as strong as what they think.

King revealed that he was not the one who defeated the mysterious being in the past which caused people to see him as heroic and courageous. He said that he just shut his eyes off and was surprised to see the enemy defeated. When he saw how Saitama defeated the Giant Crow, he realized that it was Saitama who he took credit from.

King apologized to the most powerful hero alive but Saitama seems not to care at all. The plot of "One Punch Man" Volume 8 is exciting as there are fights and a comedic element to it. If "One Punch Man" Season 2 will pick up with this volume, many of the fans may enjoy and be hooked into the hit animated TV series again.
