Gigi Hadid is one of the models who are always in the spotlight and a talk in social media and the news. But recently, the model has announced that she has decided to take a time off social media during a campaign in New York.

According to Inquisitr, Gigi was quoted as saying that she will be taking a time out in her social media presence over the holidays. This means that her fans won't feel her presence on Instagram and Twitter. The model said that she will be off the social media platforms just during the holidays so that she can prioritize herself and her career.

Gigi said that she will take a break because she feels like she needs one. She also said that she will feel grateful if people will support her decision and would still follow her on social media when she comes back. On the other hand, the model said that if some will show negativity towards her decision, then maybe she would not want to follow those people.

Meanwhile, the report has cleared up rumors that Gigi is taking a time off social media to attend to her health, just like Selena Gomez did. Yahoo! reported that the model revealed on the same event that she's currently fighting Hashimoto's disease and has been dealing with it for two years.

Gigi's fans have noticed that the model has been getting thinner. In line with this, the supermodel explained that her thyroid disease has affected his metabolism so much this year, according to Huffington Post.

Hadid is not the first one to take a break from their social media accounts. Recently, Kendall Jenner also took a break off Instagram to have a detox since the "Keeping With the Kardashians" actress said that she has been on her phone all the time and has been dependent on the social media platform.
