2016 Is The Hottest Year On Record, Polar Sea Ice Melting. Is Global Warming A Government Hoax?

The year 2016 is known as the hottest year on record. The burning of fossil fuels and human activities are driving global warming and altering the climate. Scientists found out that a polar sea ice that covers an area which is about the size of India has just vanished.

The recent study published that the global surface temperatures over the last decade and a half might last until as long as 2030. It was published in a journal of the American Geophysical Union, Earth's Future. It was confirmed that there is nothing to worry about because the energy basically absorbed by the Earth's oceans.

The U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) satellite measurements have publicized that on December 4, the degree of polar sea ice was 1.48 million square miles below the 1981-2010 average. Director of NSIDC, Mark Serreze confirmed that temperatures in regions of the Arctic were 36 degrees Fahrenheit. The research concluded that the latest measurements of the sea ice have repealed a drift of expanding Antarctic Ocean of ice which contradicts previous studies.

Representative Lamar Smith of U.S. House Science, Space and Technology Committee does not believe that human activities are causing global warming. He pointed that global warming has been caused by El Niño and the results are unrelated to climate change. He even linked it to an article from Breitbart News. The headline was "Global Temperature Plunge, Icy Silence from Climate Alarmists." However, the claims were debunked by The Weather Channel.

In reality, researchers and scientists agreed that greenhouse gasses generated by human activity are warming the planet's climate. Human activities have domino effects. The melting of glaciers and sea ice will increase the rising rate of sea level. The Earth is covered by 70 percent water and the land surface changes more quickly than the ocean.
