Movie studio 20th Century Fox has finally released the third international trailer for "Assassin's Creed," a fantasy/science fiction film based on the popular video game of the same title. The action-packed two and a half trailer features the villainous character of Jeremy Irons and Michael Fassbender's present day character Callum Lynch.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie's official synopsis narrates the story of Callum Lynch (Fassbender) who is sent back to 15th century Spain by a revolutionary technology to experience the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar. Callum discovers he is a descendant of a mysterious secret society, the Assassins. He will tackle a powerful Templar organization led by Irons' character in the present day.

The trailer introduces the Apple of Eden, the artifact Irons wants to use and Callum needs to find. The Apple of Eden is an important element in "Assassin's Creed" video game whose backstory relies so much on it.

Based on the content of the "Assassin's Creed" movie trailer, the production sticks to the general premise of the video game. The film is directed by Justin Kurzel and also stars Marion Cotillard, Ariane Labed, Michael K. Williams, and Brendan Gleeson.

The third trailer for the "Assassin's Creed" movie differs from the first and second. Fox adds Jeremy Irons as expository voiceover about the 'Apple of Eden'. The latest trailer is full of action scenes and beautiful 15th-century architectures.

The "Assassin's Creed" stealth video game series was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and was launched in 2007. The series had eight installments including 5.1 "Assassin's Creed," 5.2 "Assassin's Creed II," 5.3 "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood," 5.4 "Assassin's Creed: Revelations," 5.4 "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," and 5.7 "Assassin's Creed Rogue".

The "Assassin's Creed" movie is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on December 21. Release dates for international markets are yet to be confirmed. See the YouTube video for more explosive scenes from the trailer.
