Dylann Roof, 22, a white supremacist, responsible for murdering nine black worshipers of Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina. It was on the 17th of June when the doors of Charleston church laid bare the bloody bodies of the nine black parishioners. The said victims were having a Wednesday Bible Study where they invited their murderer, Roof.

Sanders, one of the three survivors of the scene said that victims were gunned down as they vowed their heads down for closing prayer. Dylann Roof was said to have grabbed a Glock .45 gun from a bag and started shooting. He was then arrested the next day and the proceeding took over. Following the killing, investigators found 7 gun magazines and 74 casings.  Bullet holes through chairs and even on the church walls. There were also 54 bullets collected from the nine victims.

Sanders described Dylann Roof as an evil as she was able to witness how Roof  murdered them all. Victims of the killing were DePayne Middleton, Tywanza Sanders, Myrah Thompson, Ethel Lance, Susie Jackson, Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, Daniel Simmons, Clementa Pinckney and Cynthia Hurd.

According to Charleston Post and Courier, cries all over the court is heard and Roof's mother also collapsed during the trial. There were photos and a surveillance footage which was released by the court showing how Dylann  left the Charleston Church with a gun on his hand, 50 minutes after the crime took place.

Dylann Roof's lawyers aren't denying his guilt in the killing since all the evidence found in the crime scene prove him guilty. Prosecutors also say that the killer has chosen the historic church to start a race war. The murderer also had a racist manifesto wherein he explained his racial hatred. They aim to grant Roof a life sentence rather than a death penalty. Throughout the proceedings, Roof was expressionless and would be facing death penalty.
