Capcom has just announced that next year will mark the arrival of yet another, "Marvel vs. Capcom" title, "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite." New gameplay footage has been released online, and it showcases the four characters that appeared in the announce trailer, them being Ryu, Megaman, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel. What's more, it looks like the Infinity Stones will be playing an integral part in the gameplay, and players will be able to use their special abilities throughout matches.

The gameplay footage for "MvC Infinite" was posted on Marvel Entertainment's Twitter account, and it starts out with Ryu and Megaman dishing out damage on Iron Man before Captain Marvel swoops in. Aside from showcasing classic character moves like Ryu's "Shinkuu Hadouken" and Iron Man's "Proton Cannon," the clip also has Ryu using the Power Infinity Stone and Captain Marvel making use of the Time Stone.

Though the use of the Stones in Marvel vs Capcom Infinite isn't made clear, it's possible that the Power Stone could provide an increase in damage while the Time Stone can boost the speed of the character using it. Players shouldn't forget that there are also other Infinity Stones in the lore like the Mind Stone, Reality Stone, Space Stone, and Soul Stone; though it hasn't been announced, it's possible that all artifacts can make their way into the game.

Speaking of the Infinity Stones, some speculate that with their inclusion in the game, it's possible that Marvel villain Thanos will also be making an appearance in "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite." Thanos has been a playable character back in "Marvel vs. Capcom 2" for the PS2, and with his upcoming appearance in "Avengers: Infinity War," it's possible that the developers will want to bring him back in the fray.

No official release date has been announced for "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite," but fans are sure to expect the game to come out sometime in 2017.
