Those who grew up in the 8-bit era of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) will find it interesting that the 8Bitdo NES Wireless Bluetooth Retro Receiver has resurfaced recently. This product is another must-have device due to the unexpected popularity of the NES Classic Edition console.

The 8Bitdo Retro Receiver is a Bluetooth dongle that allows NES Classic users to connect all of 8Bitdo's controllers to an NES Mini wirelessly as well as to next-generation controller PS3, PS4, Wii Remote and Wii U Pro controllers. It is designed to resolve the short cord problem associated with the re-released NES Classic that has received complaints from disappointed buyers.

8Bitdo collaborated with Analogue Nt to manufacture a retro receiver with built-in CPU and Flash memory chip, which has an upgradable firmware. The 8Bitdo Retro Receiver is compatible with Windows and MacOSX operating systems.

The $39.99 8Bitdo NES retro receiver will be shipped on December 16 from Amazon. An NES Classic Edition kit is also available that includes an 8Bitdo NES30 Controller, the Retro Receiver, and a USB controller.

The retro receiver is designed as a homage to the original NES and compatible with all original NES systems. It supports third-party retro devices , as long as they have an NES controller port.

The 8Bitdo NES Retro Receiver allows access to the NES Classic Edition HOME menu wirelessly. It uses two Retro Receivers for multiplayer games. Its power is provided by the NES Classic.

The NES Retro Receiver is heaven sent for players who want the comfort of playing their favorite video games without the hassle of the NES Classic's cable. The shipping date is almost ten days from now. To those who cannot wait to have the retro receiver, there are cheaper solutions available in the market such as an extension cable that only cost about $10.
