It is the perfect Christmas gift for Luke Cage fans out there. Netflix has announced that the hit Marvel series starring Mike Colter will have its second season. The streaming TV network announced the news on the Twitter and Facebook pages of the show last Sunday, posting a brief video that featured a sign in Pop's Barber Shop reading "Season 2 coming soon."

The posts of the show were also accompanied by Pop's own motto: "Always forward". Luke Cage takes to this motto in his life. This is a similar way with Daredevil season 2 when Mike Coter announced its renewal back in March.

Fans are still looking for answers in some questions that Luke Cage left in Season 1. The season concluded with Luke on his way to jail after a massive breakout at Seagate. Mariah Dillard and Shades were walking  on the street to continue their businesses.

Willis Stryker, or more known as Diamondback, was beaten so hard but did not die from it, so it could mean a revenge for him against Luke. Nurse Claire Temple had a flier for Colleen Wing's defense class, which is actually the Iron Fist.

Luke Cage, the story of a strong, bulletproof black man from Harlem City, is the third Marvel series to receive a season renewal. The first ones are Jessica Jones and Daredevil. Luke Cage also appears in Jessica Jones.

Daredevil Season 2 premiered early 2016 while Jessica Jones season 2 will more likely be released in 2018,  after Iron Fist, The Defenders, and the Punisher. Netflix has lined-up these three Marvel-themed shows to bring more excitement to the fans.

The fact that fans could watch Iron Fist, The Defenders, and Jessica Jones before Luke Cage means it would change everything since season one. With this, it could also mean that Luke Cage will not be alone this time. It would be very exciting for the Marvel fans.
