For the past few days, Overwatch gamers have been pretty busy with season 3 of the game's Competitive Play. However, it seems like not everyone's too happy with Blizzard's new placement system.

According to a report by Techno Buffalo, the third season of the Overwatch Competitive Play has just started out this month with a few irritating tweaks and adjustments to the placement match system. Gamers who've enjoyed being in the Gold and Platinum ranks have been losing their places a bit too quickly as the new season of the Overwatch Competitive Mode has been moving along. Apparently, Blizzard's found that the top-tier ranks have been just too crowded that past two seasons, so to free up some space and level out the Competitive Mode system, the videogame developer decided to unclog the tiers by tweaking the Skill Rating system of the game.

In its Overwatch competitive play post, Blizzard wrote that its tweaks would help distribute the skill ratings much more evenly across all of the tiers for the third season of Overwatch Competitive Play. The videogame developer also tries to assure fans that though a lot of gamers are going to be ranked lower than they'd hope for after the placement matches of the new season, the rankings would "normalize as the season progresses."

Despite Blizzard's assurances, it seems like a lot of Overwatch gamers have been largely unhappy about the tweaks to the system. Gamers on Reddit have been complaining to no end about the tweaks, with a few making memes about the new system and others sharing how difficult it is to get to the top tier of the Overwatch Competitive Play with the changes set into motion.

To help gamers achieve the elusive gold rank, guides have been made for the Competitive Play of Overwatch. To get to the top, gamers have to learn how to main all sorts of heroes in Overwatch instead of just sticking to one or two. They also have to learn how to switch characters strategically and of course the terrain of each map to make gaming more effective.
