"The Originals" is composed of a family of power-hungry thousand-year-old vampires looking to take back the city that they built and dominated. Season 4 is already in anticipation, but, will they fulfill fans' expectations like with past three seasons or they will encounter obstacles on their way? Speculations are that season 4 will feature a crossover from "The Vampire Diaries".

According to Breathe Castt, Alaric Salzman (Matt Davis) will appear in season 2 episode 8 carrying valuable artifact looking for Elijah (Daniel Gillies). If the rumors are true, he will be the fourth character who will make a crossover to met Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan). The last characters that made a crossover were Tyler (Michael Trevino), Matt (Zack Roering) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). These rumors started a few months ago when fans started speculating Caroline (Candide King) will join in season 4 to help Klaus while he heals from Tunde Blade. Fans are eager to see if Caroline will return in season 4 after she split with Alaric and still recovers from their separation.

Mobile & Apps reports that Showrunner Julie Plec revealed that season 4 won't be the last season for "The Originals". She also has high hopes that character's from "The Vampire Diaries" will find their way home. In June it was published that "The Originals" won't follow their release date this year and it will be aired a couple of months later.

The Recent rumor was that the survivor from the season finale of "The Vampire Diaries" will make a crossover to save Mikaelsons. Now that "The Vampire Diaries" are in their last season, fans of "The Originals" are hoping that the show will continue for a couple of years.

According to Chatt Sports Net, Nina Dobrev will also appear in season 4 but she won't be back as Elena Gilbert. Neither as Katherine, instead, she is going to play the role of Tatia.

"The Originals" will be aired on March 17, 2017, at 8:00-9:00pm ET/PT.
