Fans have been sharing their thoughts on who will be the best Gen 2 Pokemon to catch once they are out in the wild. Websites such as Game N Guide and The bit Bag shared their picks on who are the Gen 2 Pokemon to watch out.

Tyranitar. Tyranitar is the final evolution form of Larvitar. Sharing the status with Dragonite as a pseudo-legendary Pokemon, this Pokemon may prove to be tough to players who attempt to catch it.

Skarmory. Skarmory is Steel/Flying Pokemon that is popular ever since its release. Its design makes players drawn to it. It also has eight resistance to eight Pokemon types and two immunity, making it a staple to a trainer's team. Skarmory is part of the Gen 2 release so it may be included in the patch update.

Heracross. Heracross is a bug and fighting type Pokemon. It appears as a blue beetle with a large horn on its head. According to Reddit user, KunrinG, this Pokemon may prove to be the best Pokemon for gym battles. Moveset such as Rock Smash and Megahorn is essential for Heracross in  competitive battles.

Kingdra. Kingdra is another Dragon-type Pokemon to watch out for in the next update. This Pokemon comes with movesets such as Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse, which proved to be a staple to Kingdra.

Niantic Labs haven't confirmed the identity of the one hundred Pokemon in their upcoming update but it is enough to keep fans waiting for the much-anticipated inclusion of the Gen 2 Pokemon in the game.
