A movie takes more the time to finish up the editing for stunts, visual effects, and many other factors to make the movie likable and close to reality. The Dark Tower movie just recently released its debut will be delayed to complete visual effect editing and production finances.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie was pushed to delay its original debut date of February 12 to sometime next summer. Source's stated that the movie completed its production in July, but post - production work won't be completed in time to the said debut date. The studios need more time to complete all visual effects and as well as promoting the film. Theaters now are being informed about the sudden change.

"It's a very fiscally responsible budget, and trying to stay in budget to make money and stay profitable means the VFX won't be finished in time," an anonymous source told EW, noting that given the extra time, "they're not paying rush charges to get the effects where they need to be."

Sony and MRC who produced The Dark Tower Movie is yet to receive the update for the movie release date since the studios are deciding to drop the finished product on a special weekend. An announcement will soon be made if the release date has been finalized.

On the other side of the story, it was reported that The Dark Tower Movie will be not a straight adaption of Stephen King's book series according to Director Nikolaj Arcel. He confirmed that the movie will be missing two key characters, thus the movie will serve more of a sequel. The character who will be missing is Eddie and Susannah. Nikolaj stated that he wants to convey the solitary nature of the Gunslinger's journey before introducing these characters. Definitely, we will expect a sequel for this movie.
