While "High School Musical 4" has been confirmed to be already in the works, avid fans of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens might feel disappointed to learn that they are not going to be included in the cast, as some reports claim.

Earlier reports from News Every Day claim the possibility that most of the original cast of "High School Musical" might reprise their roles in the fourth installment. The rumors started to spark when Zan Efron posted a photo of him being reunited with two of the casts from the original movie, Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth) and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans). It was later on learned that they reunited to support Corbin Bleu in his latest project with Broadway Musical's "Holiday Inn".

Today, the opposite report of the reunion looms claiming that the original cast will not appear in the fourth installment. Gamers Drop reports that "High School Musical 4" will not include original cast.

Instead, rumors say that Taylor Swift will replace Vanessa Hudgens in "High School Musical 4". This claim sprouted from the announcement of the movie's executives that they are now calling for individuals who would want to be members of the Wildcats and Knights.

The announcement may mean that none of the old actors from the original movie will reprise their roles in "High School Musical 4". Fans already expressed that they would love to see them at least appear on the fourth installment, even when they no longer hold big roles in the movie. They would also want to see the original cast portray mature roles such as parents of the new students or even teachers who impart their knowledge to the new students.

Nothing is final, though, unless the producers themselves announce the development of the story of "High School Musical 4". Creators of the movie are also yet to announce the release date.
