Tim Miller will not direct “Deadpool 2.” Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds said to have had some pretty serious differences in their vision for the sequel of “Deadpool”.

Deadline shares the sad news, together with details on the matter. According to inside sources, Reynolds, who not only plays the merc with a mouth in “Deadpool” but is also one of the producers of the hit movie, has extensively expanded his influence over the production, which has created tension between the director and the lead actor. For now not much is sure, but the fact, that the two of them will not be working together on the production of “Deadpool 2”.

Hollywood Reporter shares that Miller’s departure from “Deadpool 2” will not bring much of a burden on his career, since Fox sees a golden goose in him and have given him the project for the movie adaptation of the science fiction novel “Influx” written by Daniel Suarez.

“Deadpool” was a surprising success, which gained fame unexpected by Fox studios. Variety reminds readers the exciting story behind the release of the movie. The first cut of the movie was denied by the studio.

Later, footage from the planned movie was released on the internet, where it fast gained a large amount of supporters. Their campaign for the release of the movie pressured the studio into green lighting the project, which later on turned out to be their highest grossing production of the year.
“Deadpool” was well accepted by fans and critics alike, reaching 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and becoming the highest grossing “R” rated movie worldwide.

The direct, shameless mockery of the superhero genre and the hero tropes on which they stand made it into a cynically outrageous hit. Fans hope that Miller’s absence from the project will not lower the quality of the movie, neither the shameless sincerity it carries as “Deadpool 2” is expecting its release in the year of 2018.
