“The Walking Dead” Season 6 ended with an encounter with the new super-villain Negan. Leaving fans asking who is gonna die in this upcoming premiere episode of Season 7.

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) had been brutally beaten and the continuation of his life was in question. That’s until a promo had been revealed showing that he’s alive and well. More news about “The Walking Dead” Season 7 shared by the Inqusitr includes the death of a close one. One of Rick’s close friends is going to die, being brutally murdered by the new villain Negan.

The World has completely changed with the release of the villain and now everyone has to suffer the consequences. The heaviest burden falls on Rick, who will have a direct responsibility for the death of his close one.

Screenrant stirs up the flames of expectation with some additional news on “The Walking Dead” Season 7.
They share that it may be Rick’s own hubris, which will lead to the death of the close one. After enduring years of suffering and all sorts of random, unexpected calamities, Rick could have grown so sure and secure in his and his group’s abilities, that in the end it will lead to lack of proper planning and a fatal outcome for someone close to Rick’s heart.

International Business Times share some more insight on the identity of the victim. Their thorough review of “The Walking Dead” season 7 promo has shown, that the possible victim of Negan will be no one else, but everyone’s favorite redneck Daryl (Norman Reedus). They deduct this, by seeing Daryl’s blanket lying down, next to a pile of what resembles human remains. Will the creators kill the all beloved character, who’s been in the series since Season 1?

No matter who is the victim, the days in “The Walking Dead” Season 7 will just become darker and grimmer, with even the possibility of Dr. Edwin Jenner (Noah Emmerich)’s prophecy that there will come a day Rick will regret staying alive will come true.
