Beyoncé’s Lemonade Goes Melanianade In SNL Parody of Donald Trump
Queen of Pop Beyoncé was involved in October 15's Saturday Night Live parody of Donald Trump's family by featuring the singer's songs in her lemonade album. The satirical show, entitled Melanianade, underscored how fed up Trump's wife, Melania Trump and his step daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany are.
In the lampoon TV show, Cecily Strong, who played Trump's wife, was seen in Beyonce's "Sorry" music video sang of her anger at her husband's faux pas: "Here lies my last nerve, Donald. I've stood by your side this whole campaign-your beautiful, dutiful Melania." Actor Alec Baldwin depicted the Republican presidential wannabe, Donald Trump.
The words that came next from Cecily Strong a.k.a Melania Trump, may be predictable- "But one day soon, Donald, you may wake up" - But the gesture that accompanied the next statement drew laughter from the crowd -"And this bomb Pussy-Bow blouse will be gone." CNN published a video clip of such parody.
Melania Trump was joined by Ivanka Trump portrayed by Emily Blunt, Tiffany Trump, whose character was given justice by Vanessa Bayer, and Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager as personified by Sasheer Zamata. They all expressed dismay at Donald Trump's sexual misconduct and other scandals, which Trump dismissed as lies.
Later in the spoof, Tiffany was singing "I'll never be Ivanka in your eyes" while breaking her father's portrait. Saturday Night Live labeled Tiffany as Trump's "other daughter."
Melania proceeded to sing lines from Beyoncé's "Becky with good hair," crooning, "Without us, you'd be standing there. You'd just be that guy with the weird hair." SNL's parody concluded with Donald Trump asking all women, except Tiffany, to accompany him to his limo.
As the camera followed the women closely, it focused on Melania, who said that she wrote all the lines herself-a reminder of a previous blunder by Melania Trump who hit the news for her alleged plagiarism of the First Lady Michelle Obama's piece for Republican National Convention earlier this year.
Saturday Night's Parody irked Donald Trump and berated Alec Baldwin for the latter's portrayal of him and the entire show, which according to him should go out of the business.
