The full season of "Orange is the New Black" has finished airing on Netflix and the question on the minds of every fan is: When does Season 5 of OITNB air, and what can they expect?

The outlet Romper attempted to find out from Netflix when might production begin but received no reply. So it did a calculation on the possible date. It noted that with the sole exception of the first season, all other seasons of OITNB had occurred within two weeks of June, therefore, it stood that fifth season would take place June 2017.

An article by Fansided went a little deeper in its forecast of Orange is the New Black's premier, noting that the streaming provider had always released a new season of the show Friday evening, typically on a 9th or 16th. Therefore it stood that Season 5 would come out either June 9 or on June 16 of 2017.

The show could be subject to any number of delays regarding filming. Thus far, nothing of the sort has happened with OITNB but it is not possible to accurately predict how production may change in the near future. Therefore, it rests on the viewers to wait as more information becomes available.

That aside, there is good news for fans regarding the show's continuation. In February of this year, Netflix announced that "Orange is the New Black" would be renewed for 3 more seasons. This is a historic move considering that Season 4 had yet to air at the time. It must stand that the site felt that the show was popular enough to warrant such a potentially risky move.

Obviously Jenji Kohan, producer of OITNB, was excited to receive this news, saying that three more years gave everyone time to do plenty of interesting things with the show.

She also confirmed that she would remain with the show for the remaining 3 seasons, noting that, "The news could well point to season 7 being the last - seven seasons is already more than a show of this kind normally runs for, and I wouldn't have thought it would take 8 seasons to wrap up this fairly contained story."

According to Inquisitr, there have been hints that actors Pablo Schreiber and Matt McGorry have the "potential" in returning to the casts of "Orange Is The New Black" in Season 5.

Season 5 of "Orange is the New Black" will certainly be dramatic, answering questions that were left unanswered in the Season 4 cliffhanger finale wherein it was seen that Poussey died, Judy King was leaving prison, and the inmates were rioting against their guards.
