Green light is yet to be set for season 6 of the neo-Western Crime drama "Longmire," fans remain hopeful that Netflix has more in store for fans and will not yet let the show go after only 5 seasons. Just recently, Netflix announced that the full fifth season will be available for watching, allowing some fans to binge the TV series to their heart's content.

"Longmire" is an adaptation based on the "Walt Longmire Mysteries" books by Craig Johnson, grown to become a popular show loved by many. Having watched the episode 10 and final episode of Season 5 of "Longmire," fans are ancticipating that the story will continue in another season.

Before season 5 came out, Netflix indicated in prior reports that they were leaning more on the side of making season 6 for the crime series. Now that season 5 is here, fans and media outlets alike have speculated that season 6 is only right considering the loose ends and plots that were created in the "Longmire" Season 5. In fact, many consider it extremely likely considering the show's popularity.

The fans are not the only ones excited and anticipating "Longmire" Season 6, the cast and crew are looking forward to it as well. "Longmire" actor Robert Taylor and Craig Johnson both have confirmed to Movie News Guide that a sixth season is currently being developed and the show won't be cancelled before Season 6's completion as some rumors suggested. There had been speculation months before that "Longmire" would come after "Bloodline" recently confirmed to be closing up when the third season was completed.

As a bonus, Movie News Guide indicates that fans could finally see Walt (Taylor) and Vic (Katee Sackhoff) come together as a couple in season 6. Before season 5 came out, months ago, there had been many fan speculations regarding the romantic tension between Walt and Vic. When season 5 finally came out, it was expected that they would finally get to see these two characters get together, however this did not happen. Season 6 is expected to rectify this.

The basis for this ship, actually, is that Walt and Vic eventually do end up together in the "Longmire Mysteries" books, as well as the fact that in previous seasons the connection between both of them was heavily hinted at to the point of being palpable.

However, with the reveal in season 5 of "Longmire' that Vic is pregnant, will this strain relations between the two? Will the possibility for a future relationship be ruined?

More spoilers claim that verdicts over Cady Longmire and Henry Standing Bear played by Cassidy Freeman and Lou Diamond Phillips finds resolution in the upcoming scenes. Stay tuned for more updates from Netflix on "Longmire." Confirmation for a renewal has not been had, but neither has a cancellation.
