The Business Insider said in their press release, Fergusson cited that making a film that is inspired by a video game has a different approach. It needs to be planned thoroughly for the film could have a different audience that the video game itself. Fergusson also cited it is way more difficult to create a movie adaptation of a video game compared to a normal movie film.

Mashable mentioned in their report that the Gears of War was stuck for a very long time as it was planned to become a movie years ago. Today, the "Gears of War"movie is about to become a reality for every fan.

Aside from the "Gears of War" movie, there are also several notable movie adaptation of a video game. The best selling Hitman: Agent 47, the popular Warcraft, the upcoming Assassin's Creed and the rebooted Tomb Raider are just one of the famous title of a movie adaptation.

Though movies pulled out of a video game have a negative track records, with today's technology and skills, there is no doubt that Microsoft and Universal Picture could create the "Gears of War" a blockbuster hit. As the Coalition confirms the "Gears of War" movie development, all we need to do as of the moment is to wait for them to announce the trailer before it hits the big screen.
