"The Crown" is a new original series by Netflix. It talks about the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy). Netflix just released its first trailer for this upcoming original series.

According to Digital Trends this first footage of "The Crown" introduces The Queen and her husband Prince Philip who is portrayed by Matt Smith. The other main character in the series is Winston Churchill who is portrayed by john Lithgow.

"The Crown" is about a young Queen Elizabeth II who is just married at 25 years old. In this young age, she is destined to rule the famous monarchy. This is also a time that a new era has arrived since the British Empire is at a decline and is to be ruled by a young woman. The new series reveals the life of the young Queen and how she leads the Empire with her power.

In a report from TIME, Netflix ambitiously tells the story of the Queen for the first time in this original series "The Crown." This new series will have five seasons and has an estimated budget of $100 million. Each season is going to be a story for each of the decade of the Queen's reign.

"The Crown" is created by Peter Morgan who is already an expert about Queen Elizabeth II since he wrote about her twice already. The first was in 2007 about the movie 'The Queen' and the next one was in 2013 for the play 'The Audience.'

This time, "The Crown" starts right after Queen Elizabeth II marries Prince Philip. The first season is about the Queen struggling to be Elizabeth Windsor and Elizabeth Regina at the same time. She realizes along the way that the crown has its own power and it is not just her wearing it but the crown speaks for itself.

The Netflix original series, "The Crown" will premiere on November 4, 2016.
