The cast and crew of the "Outlander" Season 3 series are already filming for the much-awaited season premiere. They are currently in Scotland, specifically at the Craigmillar Castle in Edinburgh. Moreover, there are notions that filming is taking its toll for both  Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan.

Given the sucess of "Outlander" Season 3, the return of the segment has caused much thrills for the fans and followers of the series. As for the notion that filming was hard for the powerhouses, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, that presumption remains unsettled.

Daily Record reported that they are using the castle to shoot the series' Ardsmuir Prison scenes.Just recently, a number of "Outlander" Season 3 behind-the-scene photos were spread all over the internet. In the photos, fans were able to get a first look of David Berry as Lord. Referring to the leaked photos above, Berry is seen with two other cast donning a red army uniform.

In the book, Lord John Grey has an interesting and controversial character which the fans should watch out for if ever it materializes in "Outlander" Season 3. Grey is expected to meet Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) in the Ardsmuir Prison, where he serves as the governor. If the series follows the book, Grey will develop a perturbed association with Jamie which will affect the latter's stay in the prison.

Meanwhile, fans cannot wait for Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's reunion. Fans often ask how the two will handle the twenty-year gap, as well as how they will both accept all of the changes which happened in their lives within those lost years when "Outlander" Season 3 returns.

Outlander obsessives are yet to find out how the story will go as the Season opens next year. Hofmag says that "Outlander" Season 3 will be released on April 1, Saturday. However, the same report admits that this is not yet the official date of release.

The International Business Times suggests that the premiere may fall on a Sunday. The CEO of Starz Network Chris Albrecht earlier said that he liked how viewers enjoy their Sunday nights in front of the television. This notion moves any series to fall under the Sunday schedule to get greater attention and acquire high audience rating.

For the fans and followers, there is still no fix date for the premiere airing of "Outlander" Season 3.
