As the launch of game nears, excitement among Pokemon GO fans is gaining momentum even as Niantic launches beta-testing in the US.

Fan forums like those on Reddit, are rife with discussions about preparations, speculation and expectation from the game, opinions on the GO Plus device, Pokemon spawning and gym battles. Those beta-testing are working overtime to make details public and keep the momentum going.

Threads from Sliph Road reveal fans anticipate a launch soon. Powerbanks, backpacks, bikes and travel are subjects of frequent discussion.

"How are you guys and girls preparing for the game? I'm planning to get my bike out of the basement, get 1 or 2 Power Banks (Suggestions are welcome). And obviously, whenever I'll go on longer trips, I'll make sure to have food and water in my backpack," one user wrote, while seeking suggestions. "I'll probably get some sunglasses and get an umbrella. As I already mentioned I would like some Power Bank suggestions and if you have some other preparation ideas let us know!"

Pokemon GO was announced last September. Niantic has not revealed much about the game. A teaser video uploaded during the game's announcement has been the last comprehensive release. However, testers have given fans plenty of insights into the game. Fans have also not stopped speculating about the game's features.

Testing has revealed battles, gyms, player customization and lot more but trading has not been unveiled though the official teaser video shows it.

"The only thing that's "confirmed" to be in game that hasn't launched yet is trading -- trading was shown on the concept trailer, but hasn't been implemented in the APK," wrote another Reddit user.

"In terms of other things we'd want added as a community -- yes, I agree with CP training wholeheartedly, but we don't truly know if it will be in the game or not. The same with an in-game chat system or, honestly, anything else at this point," the user added.

Fans have opined the need for Pokemon battles without involvement of gyms, sophisticated evolution system and more.
