'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, News & Update: Game Release Delayed; To Feature Disney Characters
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is a highly anticipated game title of the year. According to rumors, the title is expected to feature characters from Disney including Elsa from "Frozen." There are also reports that "Gargoyles" will be a part of Kingdom Hearts series.
Walt Disney Television Animation and Buena Vista Television created animated series back in 1990 called "Gargoyles." They were also expected to make it to "Kingdom Hearts 3" game after the game publishers partnered with Disney. However, according to a statement by Greg Weisman at MomoCon 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia, the crossover between "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Gargoyles" is not going to happen anymore.
"That's been discussed, and I'd love it--it's not up to me. [...] When I knew people who were involved [that] tried to push it, there was a point where I thought we were getting close on Kingdom Hearts...and then the guys I knew who were working on it got fired," Weisman said. "I'd be very open to it, but obviously I don't even work at Disney anymore."
If you love "Gargoyles" and "Kingdom Hearts 3," it would be amazing if the two could have merged somehow. But unfortunately, the crossover is not in the plan anymore. But the fans can still be excited about the game because it will feature other Disney characters.
Previous reports indicated that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature Elsa from "Frozen," "Iron Man," Captain Sparrow from "Pirates of the Caribbean" and Darth Vader from "Star Wars." Other characters to be featured in the game include Snow White and Seven Dwarves, Peter Pan, Lion King, Peter Pan and many more.
Recent reports also suggest that the game has been delayed again. From the looks of it, there is no plan of releasing the title this year. Rumor of the delay was sparked after Quinton Flynn tweeted that he has not even started recording for the game yet.
