Dwayne Wade unleased his frustration on the court after a potential tying score ended up badly with Charlotte winning over Miami in a two-point lead in Game 5. With 3-2 series standing, Heat is expected to turn things up in Game 6. In Wednesday's game, he was seen going in for a shot at the basket but no foul was called on the other team.

Apparently, he was not just upset about that particular moment in their match-up with the Hornets. He was more hostile against the whole idea of 2-minute reporting. As per NBA regulation, officials are obliged to release an officiating report about the referees' performance after every game 'within 5 points at the 2-minute mark of regulation or overtime'. Despite the controversy, league officials maintained that the decision of its referees at the time was correct.

"Those last two-minute (reports), to me, are pointless," Wade said as quoted by USA Today Sports. "It does nothing for us or for any other team. Go through the whole game and break it down, and I think it will help the refs and the league continue to grow. But those last two minutes; that's not a good thing."

Former MVP holder and Cavaliers star LeBron James also shared his thoughts on the 2-minute ref review issue echoing same sentiments of his close friend and ex-Heat teammate. James also added that putting too much emphasis on the last moments could prove disastrous to how basketball fans view the first 45 minutes of the entire game.

"It changes absolutely nothing. I think it sends a bad message to our fans of thinking the game is only won in the last two minutes. A play in the first quarter is just as important as a play in the last four seconds. That's how playoff basketball is played, that's how the game of basketball should be played. I don't think they should hear that 'Oh, it's OK to talk about the last two minutes calls missed," said James as quoted by Fox Sports.

"We should talk about the whole game, if that's the case because the whole game matters. You miss an assignment in the first quarter, it can hurt you in the fourth quarter. So I'm not fond of it all."

Wade also added in a comment that while he commends NBA's consistent efforts to increase the level of transparency in officiating the games, he lamented that the report format should be clearly reviewed and scrutinized for improvement.

"It's easy to go back and Monday morning quarterback things. There's a lot of times when I go back and look and I say, 'They (referees) were right.' Sometimes I go back and say, 'They were wrong.' Go through the whole game and be transparent the whole game. It's a lot that can happen through the whole game that can affect the last two minutes. It's not just the last two minutes," the Heat player said as per ESPN report.
