For 10 years, diehard Star Wars fans waited patiently for the return of the Jedi Masters from the galaxy far, far away. When the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' hit the theaters for an epic comeback, it took the world by storm. The intergalactic adventure doesn't just end there. As most of you have already known, Star Wars: Episode 8 is underway. Interestingly, a brand new star is expected to join the cast in a new female lead role: Kelly Marie Tran.

For quite some time, there have been frequent questions about what fans should get excited for in the forthcoming installment. When that question was brought up before the premiere screening of the Force Awakens documentary, John Boyega's answer was enough to get everyone excited as Tran would be the first Asian to play a lead female role in the sci-fi movie.

As reported by WhatCulture, Tran was previously part of 'College Humor'. Then on January, she joined the Star Wars Episode 8 official cast. But details of her role is tightly sealed and the production team ensures that none of information related to her movie character would ever get leaked.

Another report swirling in the media is the addition of Ade Edmondson to the Episode 8 cast as reported by the Sun. Similarly, the 'Bottom' star's role remain a closely guarded secret. How his slapstick humor would fit in the movie would be extremely daunting for the British actor.

"Ade is one of the most-loved comedy stars in the UK but even he would admit Star Wars is a surprise move for him," according to an anonymous insider source as quoted by Parent Herald.

"Ade is starting to go back to his acting roots after doing a lot of reality TV recently and this is a huge deal for him. His character is top secret, like everything else to do with the film and its plot. But given his old comedy characters, it would make sense for them to give him an eccentric part."
