According to the industry insiders, the game development process at Square Enix has been painstakingly slow. The voice of Axel, Quinton Flynn, noted that he has not been contacted yet by the developers for the latest game yet.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Kingdom Hearts 3 and are even anticipating the game to be released this year. However, looking at latest production updates, Square Enix will not be able to launch the game this year.

"Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills," said Quinton Flynn via Twitter. In response to a query on his thread, he said that he has not recorded anything for Kingdom Hearts 3.

On the other hand, a report confirms that Square Enix has already started working with other voice actors, and Jim Cummings has even completed his part of recordings for the game. Perhaps they are prioritizing Tigger and Winnie the Pooh characters over others because they are in demand. However, Square Enix has not issued any official statement about the status of the game and the fans are eager for an update now.

According to latest news, Disney and other studios are also involved in the game that can affect the game's franchise. The company has also added Star Wars franchise into their fold. Bottom line, "Kingdom Hearts 3" and its release are still not known as the developer is not revealing a lot of information about its games.

However, another possibility is that the studio is falling behind its deadline and needs time to develop the game. The company is also said to launch Final Fantasy 15 that will come out on September 30.
