All those who have been waiting for the latest "Battlefield" installment will be happy to know that the release date for the popular shooter game has been set for October 2016 as per latest reports.

The highly anticipated game has apparently been under development for quite sometime but the wait seems to be over as the game sequel is supposed to launched within this year.

According to the latest rumor, upcoming "Battlefield 5" will not feature themes from its previous installments that were based on modern characters. In fact, the new video game sequel is expected to take a break from contemporary setting and take the gamers all the way back to World War 1 era set in 1900s. The buzz noted that first person shooter games have not exploited the Great War setting yet and it will be an exciting change for the existing players to experience something different.

As exciting as the rumor sounds, it still waits to be seen if the Electronic Arts will be able to create an interesting and an engaging experience by developing a game that is set in World War 1 timeline. IGN reports that fans will be able to tell that themselves after the game comes out on Oct. 26.

Michael Pachter, video game analyst, said that "Battlefield 5" has the makings of one of the best FPS of all the game titles. He also added that he strongly believes that the game will reign on top even with several other titles releasing this year.

"I just think that there's less overall competition. Battlefield 5 itself will be great- it's just that last year there were five games that took 60 million units of sales- Halo, Fallout, Battlefront, Assassin's Creed, and Call of Duty," Pachter said.
