One of the most favored games on Xbox One, Gears of War's fourth installment will be launched on October 11, revealed Microsoft and The Coalition.

Gears of War 4 will see a new team of heroes who will rise up to fight a new threat. The game will follow the same "dark and intense" roots of the original series and will deliver the same "familiar, yet distinct" unraveling of gameplay, that includes "brutal and intimate action, a heart-pounding campaign, genre-defining multiplayer, and stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4."

All the users who bought Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get access to the beta version starting April 18. This will also be available to Xbox Live Gold members on April 25 and run until May 1.

In the new series, gore and explicit language filter has been applied, as confirmed by Ron Fergusson, head developer at The Coalition.

"Gore is important for obvious reasons and swearing too. I think the tricky part for us is, and it's been one of the funny things about the mature language flag, is that there's no standard, so we've had to set the bar," Fergusson explained, as quoted by CNET.

Fergusson also said that the forthcoming beta for "Gears of War 4" will "basically an alpha build of our multiplayer." He said that they want to collate fan feedback about the game's multiplayer, so that the new and final changes can be applied to the final product.

The players will get a split-screen co-op, confirmed Fergusson. However, the frame rate will drop down to 30fps due to difficulty of the game. The co-op for "Gears of War 4" will be only available to two local players online. The players can also expect a PC version soon sometime.
