News regarding multimillion dollar re-shoots of Suicide Squad has thrown fans into a tizzy since last week.

According to reports, the makers of the upcoming movie have decided to include more humour after Batman v Superman was criticized for being too dark. However, these rumors appear to be far from the truth as actor Jai Courtney reports that the reshoots were conducted to include more action and not humour.

This revelation comes as good news for most fans as the two trailers released so far appear to have enough pranks and gags in them. The actor, who plays the character of Captain Boomerang in the movie, said in an interview that some additional action has been added to the movie that he found extremely enjoyable. This certainly seems more suitable for a movie whose plot revolves around a group of super villains forced to work for a corrupt government organization in order to lessen their jail terms. The news also provoked comments on whether there will be an overdose of action as the pre-reshoot trailers were already considerably action-packed.

Levity is also a major part of the movie as is evident from the trailers that have been released so far. Harley Quinn, played to perfection by Margo Robbie, will provide the most laughs thus satisfying the fans who like to see a bit of humour thrown into the plot. The movie will not want to repeat the same mistake Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman did after its dismal performance at the box office.

After the Batman v Superman debacle, DC is reported to be taking desperate measures to ensure that Suicide Squad meets everybody's expectations. The trailers have received rave reviews, but the final verdict will be given only on 5 August 2016 when the movie is scheduled to be released.
