According to Microsoft, this sophisticated 12-inch tablet is geared towards converting iPad Pro and Surface Pro users into Samsung Galaxy TabPro users. Sold via Best Buy, the tablet is priced at $899.99 and has been available since March 18. Starting April 4, the users will also be able to purchase this device online on microsoftstore.com or Microsoft retail stores. It is currently available in United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. In the near future, it will also be available for sale on Samsung's online store.

Chris Cocks, Microsoft's vice president for OEM Technical Sales, said in a blog post that TabPro S is "optimized for entertainment and offers productivity."

According to a review post by Verge, the device has a "sleek and portable design." In fact, they add, it is handier than Surface Pro. In design aspect, this tablet is a lot like Samsung Galaxy product line of Android smartphones. What makes this device so great is that it is "insanely thin," says TechRadar. At 0.25 inches, TabPro S is thinner than iPad Pro and Surface Pro.

In fact, Samsung makes it a tad easier for the users by including a keyboard. "Samsung earns a tip of my virtual hat for showing some respect for consumers," it says.

However, reviewers add that the keyboard is "loud and clacky" and its tight keys "do not feel as natural to use." It also lacks backlit keys, available on Surface Pro keyboard. While the keyboard is cramped, the touchpad makes up for it, a post says.

Equipped with a 12-inch super AMOLED display, sporting 2160x1440 pixel resolution offers bright and crisp display. Reviewers also think that the Super AMOLED display is "superb," perhaps it can also qualify as the tablet's best-selling points.

However, it is important to note that it lacks enough memory at 4GB RAM and the battery life is not as great as the company promotes. According to Verge, opposed to 10.5 hours' battery life advertised, the tablet lasts for six-hours after use.

All in all, it is safe to consider TabPro S as a strong contender of iPad Pro and Surface Pro. You can buy this tablet if you are the one for a convertible device with a "stunning" display.
