Mafia 3 news, rumors and release date: To be released on April 26

Mafia III is an upcoming open world third-person action-adventure video game developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games, scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016. It is the third installment in the Mafia series, and the debut title for Hangar 13.

As reported by the Bitbag, "Mafia 3" is being heavily compared to "GTA 5" with the same crime story, but the Steam page of the upcoming game is said to feature the player character having already delved deep into the world of criminal activities. This premise of "Mafia 5" is quite different from the usual setting of the "Grand Theft Auto" video games who describe the player as a newbie in doing underground activities or as someone who turned away from doing crimes but was forced to go back to his old life.

"Mafia 3" will cover the story of Lincoln Clay and his criminal activities in the midst of Vietnam War as shown in the game's worldwide reveal trailer.

According to 2k Games,

"Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring period-accurate cars, music, and fashion."

If we'll base it on the fiscal report of Take-Two Interactive, we'll be seeing 'Mafia 3' before March 2016 ends however there's a game retailer that posted that the release date of Mafia 3 will be by April next year.

Gamestop posted a listing for Mafia 3 at the price of $59.99 which is set to be released by April 26, 2016.
