A Christian news website, One News Now, reports that Tebow, who is a winner of Heisman Trophy, for many many years contributed with all his heart to the cause and need of deprived children. His non-profit Christian organization, Tim Tebow Foundation, has also helped many are in need.

Sixth Annual Golf Classic, a recent event hosted by Tebow, was his latest charity endeavor held at Ponte Vedra Beach in Florida. Through his efforts, he was able to generate $5.5 Million to pay for the medical needs of children who are suffering from certain physical ailments. He also said that for him it is more important to help others than to make a name for himself in sports.

"Tonight is about these kids. It's not about football. It's about what we're doing, through faith, hope and love and the people we serve all over the world. That's going to be bigger than football every single day of my life."

According to a report by ONN, Tebow said that "serving others in the name of God is a reward in and of itself, showing that the best and most memorable times in his life came while helping and loving others - not from scoring touchdowns or setting passing records on the gridiron."

Tebow continued by saying, "I look forward to this every year. This is a special time."

Many high profile celebrities were present at the charity event. However, the former quarterback never once took the spotlight from the real stars of the show - the children.

The charity funds collected from the golf event will be given to numerous charities that Tebow has sponsored in all these years. He is primarily focused at helping children who face challenges in their lives.
