Artists in Ukraine have converted the statue of Vladimir Lenin in Odessa into Darth Vader's monument, Star Wars villain. This is not the first time that a movie by George Lucas has invaded a political space. With the statue of Darth Vader in Odessa, Ukraine, the dark force has truly been awakened. The monument came at a time when the world is already anticipating about what the new file, The Force Awakens, trailer reveals about the plot. Amid all this, Alexander Milov, the artist whose work made headline at the famous Burning Man festival, was creating the first ever monument of the dark lord himself, according to The Guardian.

The transformation of the Soviet era statue happened after a new legislation, de-communization laws, have been brought into force in Ukraine. According to this law, all the symbols and remnants of the country's communist association and history must be taken down. The statue is highly befitting and Milov believes that the statue will bring Star Wars fans from all across the world. To make things more interesting, the head of the statue contains a Wi-Fi spot, as reported by New York Daily News.

According to the reports, the original statue was made of gypsum that had lost its strength over the years. However, Milov add strength to the structure by adding a cape and helmet that is made of titanium alloy. This is not the only time when a reference to George Lucas's Star Wars has made an entrance into the Ukraine politics. Sometime back, Internet Party of Ukraine proposed Darth Vader as a candidate for president last year. They also made other suggestions such as Chewbacca, Yoda and Padme Amidala. However, the party didn't become much of a success, says NBC News.
