Apple's upcoming iOS 9 will be equipped with a Wi-Fi Assist, which will keep track of Wi-Fi signal levels when you are using the wireless connection on your phone and if it detects a low signal, it will switch to mobile data automatically. The new feature is designed to enable users to connect to the internet with minimal disruption, Daily Mail reported.

Currently, on iOS 8, when a mobile phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network it will remain linked to that network even if the signal level is too low, which usually leads to disrupted connectivity. In order to switch to mobile data for better connectivity, users have to disable Wi-Fi on their phone manually.

Good news from the tech giant left millions of users excited for the upcoming iOS 9 software update. Although the new feature seems to make a minor change in the software, the developers are expecting it to have major impact.

Reportedly, a feature like Wi-Fi Assist was requested by many users and developers, who thought that such feature could make browsing much more easier and faster. It is great news that Apple listened to what users had to say and finally made it a reality, said Daily Mail.

The update, which Wi-Fi Assist was a part of, also includes a Siri that is more intelligent, a navigation tool that can show you public transit routes, and a new feature called "Nearby' that helps you find shops, restaurant, and bars close to your location

iOS 9 is expected to be available to all Apple users by the end of this year. The tech giant provided developers with early access to its software so that they can create apps beforehand, reported the Daily Mail.
