She's on a high. Having turned 110 years last Saturday, Agnes Fenton is convinced that beer did the trick for a long time, till she had to give it up.

The Englewood New Jersey resident has entered a "supercentenarian" category, according to lovemeso.

She has already been wished for her birthday by President Obama. Ten years ago, she even had August 1 officially named "Agnes Fenton Day" in Englewood.

Her amazing feat was that she had a tumour removed, and was then given some "unorthodox advice". Her doctor had told her to drink three Miller High Life beers everyday.

The exciting advice put her on a high and has made her enjoy her three beers and scotch every day for almost 70 years, till she turned 105. But after that, she had to let the drink go, and has lived on for another five years, according to theindependent.

Her favourite is Johnnie Walker Blue Label---an expensive whisky, perhaps the dearest, and also dear to her. But her caretakers explained that because her meals are frugal, they do not encourage her drinking. Her favourite food includes chicken wings, green beans and sweet potatoes.

Her doctor of almost 20 years, Dr. Kenneth Wasserman, called her health "phenomenal." Dr.Wasserman remarked: "The few things she's had wrong with her have disappeared in ways they should not have. She's completely, thoroughly amazing."

Usually, the secrets of ageing could be unlocked in the inherited genes, a stressless life and consistent routines. But her own secret lies elsewhere.

She said that faith is her secret. "When I was 100 years old, I went to the mirror to thank God that I was still here. And I thank him every morning. He gave me a long life and a good life, and I have nothing to complain about... You've got to have God in your life. Without God, you've got nothing."

One report from Boston University School of Medicine says that 360 people are 110 or older. Hence, among 7 billion people on earth, just one in 10 million is a supercentenarian.
