Police in Kentucky have come up with a novel way to get people to rat on drug dealers, frame it as a way for other drug dealers to take out their commercial competition.

The New York Times reports that the sheriff of Franklin County, Kentucky, posted a flier on Facebook adorned with a marijuana leaf and series of fill in the blank sentences.

The sentences are:

My drug dealing competition is ____________.

My drug dealing competition lives at __________.

My drug dealing competition's home phone number is __________.

My drug dealing competitions cell phone number is __________.

My drug dealing competition's vehicle is _________.

Other means of contact_________.

My drug dealing competition sells during the hours of__________.

At the bottom of the flier is contact information for the sheriff's department including address and phone number. Incredibly, at least one drug dealer seems to have taken the opportunity to get one over on the competition, calling the police who arrested a man in possession of four pounds of marijuana, crack and powder cocaine, and four firearms.

While it may seem almost like a joke, it seems to be working so well that other police departments have decided to give it a shot as well. Departments in Georgia and Massachusetts have adapted the flier with their own logos, colors, and design changes.
