Victor Cruz looks faster than he has ever been before according to teammate Prince Amukamara.

"I trained with Cruz for one day down in Arizona and he just came in for a day because he was in town. And I'm telling you, this guy looked fab ... I'm telling you," the 26-year-old cornerback said on the podcast, "Talk Is Cheap" (via NJ.com). "Remember that I said this: This guy looks faster now than he did before. I was just looking at him and was like, 'Man, how is this possible?'"

Even though Amukamara was very hyped up, he acknowledged the possibility that Cruz looked faster than usual because he has not seen him run in a long time.

"It could be (he's faster) or it could be I haven't seen him run in a long time and he just looks crisp," Amukamara said. "But I keep telling him. 'Man, you look faster. You look faster' and stuff like that. He looks so good, so polished. He does not look like he missed a step."

Cruz sustained a torn patellar tear in October and needed surgery. He had acknowledged during his recovery time that the injury would determine his future in the NFL.

The 28-year-old wide receiver is expected to be healthy and ready to play by training camp. Back in June, Cruz talked about aiming to be back by the end of July.

He had said, "I want to come out here, come end of July, from a personal standpoint, and be kind of ready to go, be healthy, and from a physical standpoint, my wind, just have everything ready to go come July 29, July 30. Then let the training staff kind of pull me back and let me know what they want from that point, but I want to come in ready to go, energized, fully healthy, running, and be good to go."

If Cruz is truly 100 percent back, he and newcomer, Odell Beckham Jr. will be two huge weapons for Eli Manning.
