Google had introduced the emoji support for the Google Search Engine a few months ago.

The emoji support is being used by some brands to highlight their products by bringing them in the top of the search results. However, the company has removed the emoji support from Google search, which was introduced for mobiles and desktops.

According to thenextweb.com, pages that use emoji will not be penalized, Google just will just show the symbols when it shows the page in search results. Emoji will still be used as headers in search when accompanied by text.
