iPhone 6 Heats Up, Explodes During a Call in India

A two day old brand new iPhone 6 explode in Gurgaon, India. The user of the iPhone claims that the iPhone got heated and exploded during a call. Fortunately, the user was on hands free mode and escaped from injuries.

The iPhone user had purchased a brand new 64 GB iPhone 6 and was using it while he was sitting inside his car. While the user was amidst a call on hand free mode, the user reported to have noticed sparks from the phone. He said he threw the phone out of the car when he found the handset had become very hot and it exploded as soon as it hit the ground. The user has also reported that the battery level of the handset was approximately 70%. The user is said to have visited the shop from where he had brought the phone. He was advised to dispose the damaged phone and a new phone shall be replaced. However, the user has lodged a complaint with the police authorities.

This is the first time such a complaint has ever been made since the launch of the iPhone 6 in October 2014.

However, according to media reports in the United States, a main in Long Island had complained this March that his iPhone 6 burst into flames in his pocket, causing third degree burns.
