Samsung recently released its next flagship smartphone at the ongoing MWC, Galaxy S6 and everyone suddenly became interested in finding out how does it compare with iPhone 6.

For sure, Galaxy S6 is one of the best-looking devices Samsung has ever made, but shamelessly, it looks eerily similar to the iPhone 6. Although, it's too soon to give the two phones a thorough comparison, we try to put together what we already know.

Power

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S6 is powered by its own 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and Apple has its own proprietary 64-bit 1.39GHz dual-core A8 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. At least on paper, Samsung scores but Apple is known to put a great amount of effort into melding of hardware and software so most likely it will keep up with the best.

Design

Galaxy S6 is probably the first phone where Samsung seems to put design ahead of anything else. The Galaxy blueprint that continued till Galaxy S5 is gone. Also there's no removable battery and the waterproofing has been ditched. Clearly, the design is inspired from the iPhone, but is not as gorgeous as iPhone.

Camera

Galaxy S6 features a 16MP camera with optical image stabilization technology. iPhone 6, on the other hand has 8MP camera but the company has long been one of the standard-bearers for mobile phone photography.

Battery

Galaxy S6 features 2550mAh battery whereas iPhone 6 has 1810mAh battery.

Verdict

Comparing iPhone 6 vs Galaxy S6 is not an easy task and probably there are many other factors that should be taken into consideration. However in terms of raw specification Galaxy S6 wins but iPhones have always set the standards in terms of stability, app choice and photo taking so it's a tough call to conclude a clear winner.
