Everything is going wrong with the creative agency and it is surely in trouble... big trouble. To be more precise, the industry is going through a lethal crisis and the clients keep threatening them for more results and new competitors just don't allow them to do so.

If they either do not accept a change then they will be known by none soon and will surely lose their name.

It has been noticed that even the top agencies have gone through a great loss. The capabilities of the digital advertising platforms have entirely changed the way people advertise especially by Google and Facebook.

Moreover, the already saturated market is getting more and more competitive where even the fittest are unable to survive. Moreover, the clients are getting more critical for the industries and the budget that previously used to be allotted isn't even a match for today's budget.

The creative agency is being forced to reduce their charges and lower the margins and if such a thing continues to happen, there is no visible future for such industries. Moreover, the people in charge of these agencies are crying tears because of the sudden happenings.

But there might be a solution for this as well. Let us have a look at the things that an agency needs to do so that they can survive in this business.

Things agency requires adopting for survival

Here are the things that we believe can help you to survive so make sure that you always keep them inside your head:

1.    Hire talent and pay them good

Due to the decreasing budget, the agencies tend to hire cheap workers that directly affect the quality of the work. However, they just keep one excuse that they are paying as per the quality and the competence. The pay is extremely low and is ridiculous as compared to the bigger guns. This is the biggest mistake that an agency makes and they desperately need to give a good pay to the talented employees. This also reduces the trust of the client if he does not get a better quality work which is not possible unless you hire good talent that can only happen when you pay them more.

1.    Invest more in technology and not on materialistic things

Manual labor is what the industries are up to for a long time and this is adversely ridiculous man. They hire badly paid armature employees and force them to work for long hours do exhaustive tasks that could be easily automated with the use of better technology. And this is what constitutes the next big mistake of the agencies that they try to make the workplace better, however; they need to employ new things in technology to make the workplace better for their low-paid employees.

2.    Eradicate corruption in agencies

Well, most of you will now be like "corruption! In agencies?" well, yes there is a lot of corruption in the creative agency and one needs to clean that out. If there is a tech vendor that needs to grab the attention of the people in the industry then the only required bribe is free lunch. More attention they need, the better the lunch gets. This needs to stop and the expectations need more to be in the form of the quality of the work and not the expense of a free meal. Therefore, it needs to be a lot transparent and needs to stop this briber in the agency.

1.    Make relations better with the vendors and the publishers

Creative agencies often complaint that the vendors and the publishers are treating them like shit and they cannot tolerate it, however, they need to run a business and for that, they need to maintain the contact and that's why they cannot even spit a word from the mouth against this rude behavior. As per the statistics, the best relations are those which are transparent and are loyal throughout the partnership. The relationship gets stronger with time and gets stronger and stronger and stronger. Therefore, either just stops dealing with the rude vendors to wait for them to change with time. Moreover, try to find out the mutual interests and likes between you and the vendor so that the relationship can become even better and stronger as well as powerful with time.

2.    Adopt innovation like if you are a tech industry

Although these sounds dumb that an agency should employ innovations even if there is no use of it in this industry, it is also agreeable that it is really hard to survive in this industry now which is why doing something new is mandatory as hell. The innovation is what that will set the whole difference between the usual agencies that stand no chance against the predators in the industry and you who will become a titan with the latest innovations and the willingness to adopt. The best innovations are made of two things, firstly the budget which needs to be decoupled from the budget required for the business and the second thing is the portfolio of the innovations that you are willing to adopt.

1.    Consider innovations as a mandatory activity and not as a hobby

Well, we've already said that you need to decouple the budget that you need for innovation from the budget that you need for running the business. But you don't need to decouple the results that you are willing to get from the innovations and make sure that they are as same as that of the business goals. Therefore, what agencies should do is set up an innovation department so that new things can be adopted in the agency and hence increases the productivity of the agency. However, the people in charge of these agencies usually hate these departments because they believe they couldn't yield results while they need to know that innovation takes time to show results.

Conclusion

So you need to follow all these things which are mentioned above if you want to survive in the industry otherwise you have got no chance, that's all we have for today.
