"Obviously I had a strong tie to Charlotte and would have loved to play there. I'm very comfortable in that city. It's hard to say exactly what the situation will be this summer." Curry said.

Stephen Curry, the best 3 point shooter in the League, is rumored to sign up for the Hornets by next year. The superstar earned back to back NBA Most Valuable Player Award.

Curry answered, "I don't know" when he was asked if he will be signing up for the Hornets once he becomes a free agent by next year. The addition of All-Star Kevin Durant shows that the road to the second NBA championship for Curry has become very possible.

The Warriors are now on a 12-game win streak. Now, 16-3, and looking at the Western Conference standings, the Warriors now ranks number one. Curry always had ankle injuries in his entire NBA career and resulted in signing an extension of his deal in October of 2012 and got him underpaid. Curry is also anticipated to sign a new deal with the Warriors, with a whopping salary of $28.75 million.

Curry, 28, in his 8th NBA season, said that their lost in the NBA Finals with Cleveland still affects him until now. He said, "It's something you'll never forget, just because it was so close and we didn't get the job done." "Does it haunt me? I would more say that it motivates me."

In the future, Curry may sign up for the Hornets, but that's still too far to happen. Curry will be signing a max 5-year, $165 million deal with the Warriors right after the 2017-2018 NBA.

This coming July 2017, Curry will be an unrestricted free agent. Not only that, Durant by then, will also become a free agent since he has a player option for the second year even though he signed a two-year contract with the Warriors.

Curry said, "Obviously I love it here in the Bay Area," "It's all I've known in the league. And if the situation is right going forward, this is a place I would love to play."

"Steph in Charlotte" is not impossible to happen. But as of the moment, Curry confirmed that he's not planning about any free agency yet.
