"Pokémon Go," a highly sought after augmented reality game started its field tests in Japan in March. A month later, it was available in Australia and New Zealand too. In the field testing, the players were allowed to register for the game's beta version and provide feedback to the game developers, Niantic Labs, before it launched officially.

According to the recent news, the "Pokémon Go" fans will be able to register for the beta version, after the field testing rolled out in Japan, Australia and New Zealand. In its official blog, Niantic Labs revealed that they are opening up field testing for "Pokémon Go" in United States and the interested players are invited to signup at the game's official website. However, the players must note that signing up will not guarantee a spot in the field testing. The users who will eventually participate would be required to keep the game contents confidential and must have an iOS/Android device to play the game.

It has also been pointed out by Niantic that the progress made by players during the beta testing will not be carried over to the game's full version. Niantic also informed that the player's progress may begin several times during the course of testing. When the players are in the beta mode, they will not be able to exploit all the features that will be available in the full version. In fact, there will be certain things that do not function properly.

Regardless of that, participating in field testing of "Pokémon Go" will be a good experience, more so for loyal fans of the franchise that will be a part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the game.

All those players who are unable to get through the beta version selection process, they can enjoy the video featuring eight minutes of gameplay.
