'Yuki Yuna is a Hero 4' Panel Spinoff Manga Becomes A Movie, Already In Progress
The official website for Kadokawa's Dengeki G's Magazine announced on Sunday that Kotamaru, BUNBUN, and Project 2H's "Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha-bu Shozoku" (Member of the Yuki Yuna is a Hero Club) four-panel spinoff manga is getting a theatrical anime adaptation. At the "Menkai Matsuri 2" event in Tokyo on Sunday, the staff of the "Yuki Yuna Is a Hero" franchise made the announcement.
The anime will screen in March alongside the screening of the first of three films for the "YÅ«ki YÅ«na wa YÅ«sha de Aru: Washio Sumi no ShÅ" (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter) anime project.
It was also announced that W-Toon Studio is animating the "YÅ«ki YÅ«na wa YÅ«sha-bu Shozokuanime." Project 2H is credited with the original work, kotamaru is credited with the original character and story designs, and Takahiro is credited with the original plan design. The anime will star: Haruka Terui as YÅ«na YÅ«ki, Suzuko Mimori as Mimori TÅgo, Yumi Uchiyama as FÅ« Inubozaki, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Itsuki Inubozaki, and Juri Nagatsuma as Karin Miyoshi
In Dengeki G's Magazine in the magazine's September 2014 issue, Kotamaru launched the "Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha-bu Shozoku" manga. Kadokawa published the manga's third compiled volume on August 26, 2016.
The manga follows the titular YÅ«na YÅ«ki and the other Hero Club members' everyday lives. Kotamaru also launched the "Washio Sumi wa YÅ«sha de Aru Gaiden: YÅ«sha KÅshinkyoku" (Washio Sumi is a Hero Spinoff: Hero March) four-panel manga in the December issue of Dengeki G's Magazine on October 28.
The first "YÅ«ki YÅ«na wa YÅ«sha de Aru: Washio Sumi no ShÅ" film opens on March 18, and the second and third films open in April and July, respectively. The anime serves as the first half (six episodes) of the second season of the "Yuki Yuna Is a Hero" anime series, according to Anime News Network.
"YÅ«ki YÅ«na wa YÅ«sha de Aru: Washio Sumi no ShÅ" will air on television after the theatrical screenings. "Yuki Yuna wa YÅ«sha de Aru: YÅ«sha no ShÅ," the second half of the second season, is a direct sequel to the first season.
