Augmented reality game 'Pokémon Go' has seen a stream of interesting development in the past couple of weeks as updates and teasers dominate gaming talks about an ongoing beta testing phase being carried out in various testing areas around the world including Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.

Currently, randomly selected fans in Australia and New Zealand are now being screened for the rare live beta experience of Pokémon Go with invites already sent out with some people already being picked early for early gaming access.

"Niantic will select users based on a variety of factors which may include OS types, experience in real world games and an element of luck," the update reads as per Christian Today roundup.

"If you don't receive an email, please be patient as we plan to increase the number of invites over time," the update further noted as anxious fans wishing to play the highly anticipated game in the flesh.
