NASA: Today 'Doomsday Asteroid' Will Pass By Earth (Or Do What It Will)

A few weeks ago, the critics and self-styled prophets had warned that the end of the world is nigh.

Well, NASA confirmed that 'Doomsday Asteroid' is going to pass by the earth, according to metro.

Maybe the tweet is harmless, but is the asteroid is still poised to hit the earth?

No. NASA has confirmed that the massive asteroid will zoom past Earth, but it will just brush away, without hitting it.

For the past few months, the space agency defused claims that a "doomsday space rock" is going to wipe out humanity.

Now it confirms that the 270-metre Asteroid 2012 TT5 will just whiz past harmlessly. And everyone will be alive after that. Including the Earth. And even you.

The pseudo-conspiracy theorists had given the asteroid date as falling between September 15 and September 28, when the blood moon is slated to arrive.

That is the date when the asteroid is expected to come too!

For instance, one self-declared 'prophet' Rev Efrain Rodriguez' warned that a 2.5 mile wide comet was due to collide with Puerto Rico.

He had declared that while scientists are watching the asteroid for a long time, they had never given out warnings that would permit the "rich and famous to escape".

However, even as people are not convinced about the asteroid hit, Nasa's "reverse ferret" has puzzled everyone.
