Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson News Update: Actress Opens up about Affair with Rupert Sanders

Kristen Stewart has finally opened up about the affair that ruined her relationship with Robert Pattinson.

In the latest issue of Marie Claire magazine, Stewart indirectly addressed the affair she had with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, who was married at the time.

"I lit my universe on fire and I watched it burn. Speaking very candidly, it was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more... feral," the 25-year-old said.

When the picture surfaced of Stewart kissing Sanders, "Twilight" fans throughout the world were furious that Stewart had cheated on Pattinson. Stewart and Pattinson played love interests Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the vampire movies and had started dating.

Since the very public scandal, Stewart and Pattinson have both moved on.

"I'm really proud that I am able to move forward and not fall into every mental crater....That's a new thing for me... And it is f***ing awesome," Stewart said.

The actress added that as she continues to grow, she has gotten smarter and calmer, unlike her teenage years.

"Between ages 15 and 20, it was really intense. I was constantly anxious. I was kind of a control freak. If I didn't know how something was going to turn out, I would make myself ill, or just be locked up or inhibited in a way that was really debilitating," she explained.

Stewart also talked about the industry and how she is no longer as apologetic as she was when she was younger.

"Lately, I've been doing less of the 'I'm sooooo sorry.' And more of the 'No. F***. Jesus,'" Stewart said.

Stewart is rumored to be dating her friend, Alicia Cargile. Pattinson, on the other hand, is ready to walk down the aisle with British musician, FKA twigs

The August issue will hit newsstands on July 21.
