Cleveland Clinic recently revealed the reason behind the failure of what was supposedly the first uterus transplant in the US- an infection caused by the overgrowth of yeast normally found around the vaginal tract. Doctors are reviewing the case to ensure the prevention of similar cases from happening in the future.
The technique while aimed at medical uses, could lead to illegal production of drugs like heroin.
